Which travel insurance policies include flight delay cover?
How does Chill Real-time Flight Delay work?
After you've purchased your Chill travel insurance policy you'll receive an email with a link to our Real-time Flight Delay website. From there you can sign up and register up to 4 flights per trip. If you have a multi-trip policy with us then you'll be able to create up to 3 trips to be covered by Real-time Flight Delay.
The Chill Flight Delay platform will now be able to monitor your flights in real-time. As soon as you're delayed more than 3 hours you'll be able to generate a QR code pass for entry to an airport lounge in minutes.
If there's no lounge available in your airport or if the lounge is full then you'll be able to claim a €30 cash payment for each registered traveller.
How do I register my flights for flight delay?
Make sure you've created an account on our Real-time Flight Delay website. Once logged in you can add your flights for your upcoming trip using the flight number and date of departure.
You'll need to register your flights at least 2 hours before the flight's original scheduled depature time to be covered by the Real-time Flight Delay benefit.
How many flights can I register?
If you have a Single Trip policy, you can register for 1 trip of up to 4 flights. For an Annual Multi-trip Policy, you can register up to 3 trips, with up to 4 flights per trip.
You must register all flights and registered travellers together while adding a trip.
What happens if the airport I'm departing from doesn't have a lounge available or if the lounge is full?

How can I make a claim on Chill flight delay?
As long as you have registered your flights at least 2 hours before your original scheduled departure time then we will automatically track your flight status. As soon as your delay is over 3 hours then you will be able to generate a VIP lounge pass on our Real-time Flight Delay platform.
If access to a lounge is not available then you will be given an option to receive a cash payment instead.
